FAQ categories
Do I need to know CAD to use this?

No. Describe the space in plain words and Brikon drafts the floor for you. If you’d rather place things by hand, the same plan opens in a drag-and-drop editor. Most people use both: the agent for the first pass, the editor for the last ten percent.

I only have a PDF from the landlord, no CAD file. Will that work?

Yes. Bring a PDF, an image, an SVG, a DXF or a DWG, or nothing at all, and draw the plate yourself on a blank canvas.

The first layout isn’t what I had in mind. Then what?

Tell it what’s wrong and it re-runs, or move the rooms yourself in the editor. Nothing it places is locked, and a recommendation never overwrites your change unless you apply it.

How long before I have something I can send to a client?

About 5–10 minutes for a first draft, and three options compared side by side inside an hour.

Won’t every layout come out looking the same?

No. Every run is planned against your plate and your brief, and where there’s a real trade-off (daylight for the open workspace, or the boardroom by the entrance) it asks you instead of falling back on a house style.

Can I use Claude or ChatGPT with Brikon?

Yes. Brikon runs an MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT or any other MCP client can drive the whole flow from the chat window you already have open. It’s included, there’s no separate charge for it.

Can I bring my own API key or model?

Not yet. The AI runs on our side and is included in your account; bring-your-own-key isn’t supported today.

Do you support CAD files?

Yes, both directions. DXF and DWG in, DXF and DWG out, alongside PDF, SVG and images.

Can my architect pick this up and carry it forward?

Yes. You get DWG and DXF that open straight in AutoCAD as real layered geometry, not a picture of a plan.

Can I put these drawings straight into a client proposal?

Yes: a dimensioned drawing set, a room schedule and a written report. It’s a test fit, so it goes in as an option for the client to weigh, not as a construction drawing.

My floor is an odd shape with columns all over it. Will it cope?

That’s the normal case here. Irregular boundaries, cores, columns and blockers are part of the plate you bring, and the layout is planned around them.

Do you do 3D?

Yes: a 3D top-down view of the plan, so you can read the space at a glance. It isn’t a photorealistic render and isn’t meant to replace visualisation.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. Everything is encrypted in transit over TLS and at rest with AES-256, with managed key handling and access scoped to your own account.

Do you train on my data?

No. We don’t train models of any kind on your drawings, your briefs or your clients’ data.

What happens to the plans I upload?

They stay yours. We use them to run your projects and nothing else. Ask us and we’ll delete them.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the beta. There’s no pricing page because there’s no price yet.

What does “beta” actually mean for me?

A real account with your own plates and your own layouts, free while the beta lasts. We onboard one team at a time, and the product still changes week to week.

Can I see it run on my own floor first?

Yes. Bring the plate to the demo call and we’ll plan it live with you on the line.

Which regions do you support?

All of them. Brikon runs in the browser and we don’t gate access by country. If you can upload the plate, we can plan it.

What languages does Brikon support?

English today. More will follow as teams ask for them.
